Bestmed Medical Scheme 2027 Benefits

Bestmed Contribution increase for 2027 is from 6.2% to maximum of 8.5% with average weighted increase of 7.35%  

• New Best Bucks benefits for members on the Beat2, Beat3, Beat3Plus, Beat4an Pace range: Extra day to day benefit of R 1000 per family when all the adults completed the Tempo lifestyle screening
• Expanded preventative benefits from 2027
• · Addition of HPV vaccines for males on Beat range, Pace range and Rhythem 2, HPV vaccine for male and female between ages 9 and 26    years, three vaccinations per beneficiary 
• · Enhancement of emergency casualty visits. Cover at 100% Scheme tariff up to two emergency room or casualty ward visits per family per annum, subject to limit of R3000 per event.
• · Addition of depression medication on Beat1, Beat2 and Beat3 subject to Formulary medicine and Rand limit
• Benefit enhancements form 2027 include:
• · The weighted benefit limit and sub-limit increase is 4% for 2027
• · Co-payment for voluntary use of non-DSP Hospital have increase to R15 626.
• · Co-payment for voluntary use of non-DSP Day Procedure hospital have increase to R 2 987.
